The Solar Spray Pro Automated Home DIY System makes routine solar panel cleaning even easier by adding programmable, multi-zone control to our DIY-friendly cleaning system.
Designed for straightforward DIY installation, the system uses our adjustable spray heads, non-penetrating panel mounts, UV-resistant tubing and push-to-connect fittings to create a permanent cleaning system tailored to your solar array. The included smart hose timer automatically controls each cleaning zone, so you can set a schedule and let the system handle the rest.

The Home DIY System was designed for capable homeowners who are comfortable using basic tools and working safely around their roof. The tubing is easy to cut and the connections are straightforward. Installation is not instant, but most customers find the process manageable when they take their time and follow the instructions.
Installation time depends on the number of panels, roof access and the complexity of your layout. A smaller, straightforward array may take a few hours, while larger or divided arrays can take longer. We’d rather set a realistic expectation than promise a five-minute installation.
Yes, but hard water can leave mineral deposits on panels and inside system components over time. Results depend on your local water quality. If your water is especially hard, we recommend using an appropriate filtration or water-treatment solution and avoiding cleaning during the hottest part of the day, when water can evaporate quickly.
A good starting point is once every one to two weeks, then adjust based on local dust, pollen, weather and other conditions. Areas with heavy dust, nearby construction, trees or frequent bird activity may benefit from more frequent cleaning.
Yes. You can start with the manually operated Home DIY System and add compatible scheduling and multi-zone controls later. If you already know you want routine scheduled cleaning, the Automated Home DIY System includes the automation components from the start.
Divided arrays can usually be separated into multiple cleaning zones. Each zone operates independently to help maintain consistent water pressure and spray coverage. We recommend zoning systems with more than 20 spray heads and arrays divided across separate roof sections. Send us your layout if you need help planning the zones.
